Clos Saint Julien

Clos Saint-Julien is a tiny 1.2-ha vineyard, situated in the heart of St-Emilion village, surrounded by the most charming small stone wall, atop the famous eponym limestone plateau.
The estate has been in owner-winemaker Catherine Papon’s family since 1950. She is also behind Petit Gravet Aîné – another beloved estate that we cherish at Signature Selections. Catherine farms her Lilliputian vineyard meticulously as though it were an English garden! The wines are certified organic by the Agriculture Biologique. Clos Saint-Julien is her rarest wine, it has a flamboyant personality, “blockbuster stuff” as some reviewed. It is one of the few estate awarded Grand Cru Classé by the Saint- Emilion wines classification in 2022. Bravo Catherine!!
