Château Prieuré Sainte-Anne

Property

Acquired in 2018 by a Belgian industrialist and his wife, Herwig and Annelies Callewier-Corne, their formerly three- hectare estate has grown to eight hectares in the hamlet of Sainte-Anne d’Artolée, in the southeast of Bordeaux. As the name implies, this is an ancient priory, situated along the pilgrimage road that runs all the way down to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Situated on a south-facing hillside, nestled between two streams that run west to the Garonne River, farming is environmentally friendly and sustainable. The estate is now HVE level 3 and Terra Vitis certified.
Wines are rich and elegant, with a fruit forward profile accompanied by stunning tannins. It was considered as “drop-dead gorgeous” by top wine critic, and we cannot agree more!
