Signature Selections was born in 1986. Its founder, Jeffrey Davies, is a native Californian and a Bordelais by adoption. Ex-wine critic with a comprehensive wine culture and knowledge, he has created his negociant company, that has rapidly become a reference in the wine world. Passionate and committed to his work of passion, he has developed and nurtured privileged relationships with the wineries, but also with the most renown wine critics of the world such as Robert Parker, a longtime friend.
Year after year, Signature Selections grows and gains international credit both on the French and international scene, while keeping a family spirit, close to growers and their terroirs.
In October 2019, Jeffrey Davies sold the company to Karim Nasser and Herwig Callewier, two passionate wine lovers with renown experience in the wine industry. Their ambition? To Keep the DNA of the company intact. To maintain its artisan spirit and to continue offering the most prestigious wines, but also rising wineries. Last but not least, they will keep sharing their love of wine.

Why
"Signature Sélections"?
Because we are a negociant whose DNA is based on one Signature – and several Selections through a passion for quality wines, a close relationship with the estates and their people, and a sense of sharing. Grands Crus are important, but we also offer our customers wines from beautiful vineyards, little-known treasures capable of surprising the greatest connoisseurs, but also wines that we simply love to share with friends and family.

One would say about us that we are « artisan- wine merchant », a defender of the art of wine. Our team is dedicated to the wine and to what it represents.
As a team on the field, we regularly come to visit our partners and wineries aiming at building trust and confidence bonds, unique and precious on La Place de Bordeaux. All ears and looking for new nuggets to taste. "Our feet in the vineyard and in the cellars, a glass in our hand".
Thanks to our long-term experience, we have built a strong partnership with the international wine press. Twice a year, we host tastings for the most famous wine critics, in our office in Bordeaux.
A key moment for the wine business as the wines will be reviewed and rated. Wineries, wine merchants and of course, consumers will benefit from these important tastings. An even more strategic time for rising estates.

We don’t judge a wine by its cover (label!) and we don’t only rely on a prestigious brand. What matters the most, to us, is the quality of the wine, the know-how of the winemaker, and the pleasure that we feel when tasting the wine.
We shine the spotlight on wines that are still under the consumer radar. That’s explains why some would describe us as “wine finders”. We bring these wines to the press knowledge so that they can benefit from international coverage. We are trusted by La Place de Bordeaux and beyond.
The most esteemed and confidential wineries in California have chosen to solely entrust us the distribution of their wines in Europe and Asia. A historic bond on the international market.

Founder
Originally from California, long-time Bordeaux resident, Jeffrey Davies, has transmitted his know-how and is no longer operational, although attached to the company he created in 1986.
Karim Nasser
Associate Director
He runs Signature Selections and has breathed new life into the company. Of Egyptian and Belgian origin. Began his career in the luxury hotel business, followed by sales management in the medical sector. Since 2001, in the world of Bordeaux Grands Vins through Château Rollan de By with Jean Guyon, Château Pape Clément and Bernard Magrez properties, and Château Malartic-Lagravière with the Bonnie family for 12 years. With over 20 years' experience in the world of grands crus on the chateau(s) side, his hands-on experience and customer-focused interpersonal skills are major assets in the company's development in these complex times.
Herwig Callewier
Co-Owner
Belgian and owner with his wife, Annelies Corne, of Château Prieuré Saint-Anne, in the Cadillac - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. He holds strategic and advisory positions, having spent his entire career at the head of Beltrami, a Belgian company and market leader in natural stone in Europe. He now puts his commercial skills and experience at the service of wine.
Nathalie Ensergueix
Sales/Export assistant
Originally from the Basque region, she is at the service of our customers and in permanent contact with our suppliers. She is in charge of purchasing and relations with properties since 2010!
Caroline Burdin
Wine Sales and Logistics
A Bordeaux resident for more than 20 years, she joined the team in 2023. With a significant experience in trading, in Grand Cru Classé at Château Montrose, and in a broker company (Oenomédia). His commercial qualities and logistical expertise make him a major asset in our development.
Elsa Bauduin
SALES
Binational French and American, Elsa joined us on a work-study basis after experience in a Provençal property. She is an important support in prospecting and in our sales. But also, in our developments. Her dual role as student and team member are serious assets.
